February 9 - In Jesus' name I ask that You will increase my faith to believe for all the things You've put on my heart to pray for concerning this child. (Power of a Praying Parent)

Today it's personal!!! The enemy is trying to attack on of my biological children. I'm not surprised because I knew that if I was obedient; satan would try to distract me. I'm not surprised because it's not the first time the enemy has attacked this child, I'm not surprised because of the greatness that lies within this child. So to that I say; I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness in this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. I'm not confused about where my fight lies, for though I walk in the flesh, I do not war in the flesh. For the weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.

Every plot, scheme and attempt you try is canceled in Jesus name! Although you have powers, you have no authority! Jesus is the author and finisher of my faith! Because I do not war in the flesh, but through God with spiritual weapons; you satan are already defeated! My praise is my weapon, because God inhabits the praises of His people and where He is, you must submit to Him. My faith is my shield which I will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. The word of God is my weapon because the word is truth and you satan are a liar and deceiver. You have no place here. Get thee behind me!!!

May 12 - The War for Your Seed!

 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.  ¹⁴ And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.  ¹⁵ And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.  ¹⁶ And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.  ¹⁷ And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.  (Revelation 12:13-17)

The twelfth chapter of Revelation reveals a vision that offers insight into a different side of motherhood.  The revelation of satan's anger with the woman for bringing for a male child (who represents Jesus) and her 'seed'.  The word 'seed' comes from a Greek word sperma pronounced spe'r-mä that means (a) the product of semen, children, offspring. (b) family tribe, posterity (c) whatever possesses vital force or life giving power.  The seed has the ability to produce more fruit, which in turn will have another seed(s) to produce even more.  The devil knows that "he has little time " because of the woman's seed "who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."  He knows that his fate lies in the remnant seed! 

Heavenly Father, you have provided a place for us, even in the wilderness, so that we do not have to endure the face of the serpent.  Help us to discern that the enemy will do any and everything he can to distract from praying protection over our seed.  There is promise, purpose and power in our children and this is why the devil is at war with us and them.  Nevertheless, we rejoice that whom You've called, You've also justified!  We know that Jesus has already defeated the devil from the cross and all we have to do is stand.  We declare that we've got our war clothes on and we're reporting for duty.  Our seed shall go forth and prosper, they shall keep the commandments of God.  In Jesus name, Amen!

April 17 - The Fight is Fixed!

Remember, your battle is not with your son or daughter.  "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of he darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12).  Your battle is with the enemy.  The good news is that Jesus has given you authority "over all the power of the enemy" (Luke 10:19).  Don't be afraid to take advantage of that.  (Power of a Praying Parent, Stormie Omartian)

Our children will grow and develop physically as we nurture and care for them.  The will develop their own emotional state as they experience life and all the ups and downs associated with maturing.  The only area that we can 'shape' is their spiritual life!  As Christians, we "are engaged in a spiritual conflict with evil.  This spiritual conflict is described as a warfare of faith that continues until we enter the life to come".   In the battle with the enemy; it is crucial that we have a strategy and take advantage of our advantage!  Jesus secured our victory through his death on the cross AND He "disarmed the evil powers and authorities". 

Our advantage is our authority!  Power is the ability to do or act, while authority is the power to determine, adjudicate, or otherwise settle issues or disputes; jurisdiction; the right to control,  command or determine.  Truth be told, satan has power but he doesn't have authority...at least he shouldn't have authority in the life of Christians.  When Jesus said "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you"...He meant it!!!

Lord, for our children's sake, help us to recognize and utilize the authority given to us!  Not that we get puffed up in self, but that we may pulverize satan and his schemes.  We pray that any principality, perversion, power, or force attempting to operate in our children's lives be revealed, so that we may pull it down.  Though we wrestle in war; the battle is won...VICTORY IN JESUS IS OURS.  Amen!
